Training & Consultancy Service
Do you work with people parenting alone or sharing parenting? Do you want to make sure you are giving the most up to date advice? Then our training courses could be exactly what you need. One Family offers a wide range of scheduled professional training suitable for people working with one-parent families, as well as customised training and programmes for lone parents to get back into work. With one in five children in Ireland now living in a one-parent family, can you afford to be unaware of the issues currently facing one-parent families?
Our in-house developed programmes are a result of almost 40 years experience in working with families and are available at very competitive rates.
One Family can deliver training directly at your organsiation. With a minimum of 10 participants from your and/or other organisations near you, you can benefit from a group rate and save on accommodation and/or travel costs. Training can be bespoke or tailored to the specific needs of your staff. FETAC level 6 accreditation can be acquired depending on participant levels of experience.

Train the Trainer Programmes
Our Train the Trainer programmes are designed for people whose work brings them into contact with families in need of support such as project workers, family support workers, psychotherapists and social workers. The training is intensive and highly participative so that you can experience the programmes both as a facilitator and a participant.

We design specific training to meet your needs and deliver training at a location and date of your choice. A group rate can apply for groups of 10 and over with the added benefit of saving on travel and subsistence costs. If you and other organisations in your area have similar training needs this can be a very effective way to up-skill staff and enhance services.
