Crisis Pregnancy: Practical Training
Need to know the legal position around crisis pregnancy or how to provide support to your clients? Then this practical, one-day course is for you. It is aimed at GPs, social workers, youth workers, hospital teams, college counsellors and others working with clients going through a crisis pregnancy.
The course covers:
- Legal issues around providing crisis pregnancy information
- How to refer clients on all three options – parenting, adoption, abortion
- Issues for asylum seekers and refugees
- How to support a client during a crisis pregnancy session; and
- How to provide follow-up support for a client once they have made their decision.
Duration: 1 day

Crisis Pregnancy for Counsellors
This specialised one-day course for counsellors takes a detailed look at the key issues around crisis pregnancy.
The course covers:
- General introduction to crisis pregnancy counselling
- Issues to consider for service providers
- Legal issues around abortion
- Issues for refugees and asylum seekers
- Managing a crisis pregnancy counselling session
- Onward referral; and
- Support and follow-up.
Duration: 1 day
