Thanks to everyone who came along to hear Dr Brenda Flanagan’s inspiring talk at One Family. Brenda is one of the US’s premier women writers, and a cultural ambassador, she talked about Accomplishing your Goals as a Single Parent. Everyone was touched, moved and inspired by her story – how she achieved her own success, both as a writer and as a parent, and her secret advice for would-be writers or anyone who needs to juggle life’s demands with their own dreams – get up at 4am! Free Legal Advice Evenings at One Family

One Family has developed its services to include a Free Legal Advice Centre for all your family law queries in Cherish House in Dublin 2. The centre will run on a Tuesday each month from 5.30pm to 7.30pm on an appointment only basis.

The askonefamily* helpline regularly receives calls from people with queries about family law, be it about access, guardianship or maintenance. In fact, after social welfare queries, legal questions form the second largest category of enquiries.

Up until now we have referred callers to services such as FLAC (Free Legal Advice Centres). But now we are hosting a Free Legal Advice Centre for all your family law queries in Cherish House in Dublin 2.

A legally trained FLAC volunteer will be available to give legal advice on all your family law matters. They will help you to establish whether or not there is a legal solution to your issue, explain what options are open to you and direct you to other services for further assistance.
